At The White House, we want you to be completely happy with every purchase. This policy sets out how returns and refunds work for our take-home whitening products and gift vouchers purchased through our Irish website. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 or the Consumer Protection (Gift Vouchers) Act 2019.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason. Once you’ve notified us of your decision to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the item.
To qualify for a refund, the product must be:
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the returned item.
For health and hygiene reasons, opened or used oral care products (including whitening gels, trays, mouth pieces, and any item designed for use in the mouth) cannot be returned unless faulty. This exclusion is permitted under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 for sealed goods that are not suitable for return once unsealed. Once a seal is broken, the product is no longer eligible for a change-of-mind refund.
If something arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, please get in touch with us within 30 days of delivery. Include your order number and a short description of the issue, along with a photo if possible. We’ll arrange a replacement, exchange, or full refund, including any return postage costs. This is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
For change-of-mind returns, the cost of return postage is the customer’s responsibility. We recommend using a tracked service, as we can’t accept responsibility for items lost in transit. For faulty or incorrect items, we’ll cover return postage.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, in part or in full. This applies to vouchers purchased online, in clinic, or as part of a promotion.
Gift vouchers can be transferred to another person if the recipient is unable to use it. Just let us know the name of the new recipient and we’ll update our records.
In line with the Consumer Protection (Gift Vouchers) Act 2019, all gift vouchers are valid for a minimum of 5 years from the date of issue. The expiry date will be shown on your voucher. Vouchers cannot be redeemed after their expiry date.
Where any unspent balance remains under €1 after a partial redemption, no cash refund is required under the Act.
Please keep your voucher code safe. We’re unable to replace lost, stolen, or damaged vouchers, so treat your voucher like cash.
